Blog's Rules and Disclaimer

I guess its time to lay down some straightforward set of rules and explain my standing on this blog. I made this blog for the sole purpose of entertaining everyone by introducing the artists and their music/videos and movies, which comes from my personal collections. I can ensure you that ALL music and movies and most music videos in this blog belongs to me through many years of purchasing LPs, CDs, Carbon Tapes, DVDs and Musical & Movie Videos. I spend a great deal of time, effort and money, converting my LPs, VHS and Carbon Tapes to MP3 & CDs, moreover spending hell of a time uploading them. Therefore, small donations would be much appreciated. It doesn’t have to be CASH, which I will further explain later. Sometimes, I hate new technologies, but we all got to live with it. Frankly, I could’ve bought a brand new car or even a house, with the amount of money I spend on music and videos. I can ensure you that they are all legitimately purchased and originals, whereas some are also inherited from my parents and friends, which are quite rare nowadays.

Britney Spears (The Brat vs The King)

Couple of days back, I did an article about The King vs. The Killer and here’s the update version of The Brat vs. The King. Yeap, I mean Britney Spears. This will be one memory I will never forget or should I say one nightmare? Anyway, since she went “kojak” lets see what the future brings her. I feel The King’s looks don’t suit her. We need to recommend her a new look. Any suggestions, other than those below?

Gwen Stefani is the sartorial Midas: Everything she touches achieves style gold. A high-concept platinum 'do could impart a hipper-than-thou glamazon sheen on Brit-Brit's white-trashy pate.

Can the woman who sang "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" ever truly be street? Prolly not, but rocking a nappy 'fro featuring an artfully-placed hairpick a la the Roots' ?uestlove might nab her an award for Most Follicularly Creative. And that's something.

If Kelly Clarkson can find her way onto the emo-tastic Bamboozle Festival lineup, then surely Britney can get away with the close-cropped hipster style everyone sweats My Chem's Gerard Way for.

One way to make up for her piddling bubblegum cover of "I Love Rock & Roll"? Salute no-bullshit rocker Joan Jett with an appropriately ass-kicking hair 'do.

Better red than dead With all her recent antics, Britney would do well to channel her cuckoo behavior the way Tori Amos did -- with torrid confessional ballads and gorgeous titian locks.

Earthy British kook Imogen Heap is the thinking man's pop tart. With hair like this and a Madonna-style faux accent, Brit could usurp her title.

Sorry, I can't even think of a song for this article because my mind is trying to erase off those memories of once sexy brit.

Elvis is Alive – Strong New Evidence

I came across this clip in YouTube and believe it, The KING is alive, watch it here. What you think?

Great Guitarist

I am a guitarist and it was the first musical instrument I even picked up and started learning. The person who taught me to play my first 3 chords (C,F,G7) was my dad. Eventually, I ended up playing those old numbers from the 50s and 60s. He was a guitarist for his army band back then. I still remember the first song I played, Jambalaya. What a great song and still is, but it took me almost 3 weeks to learn the chords even though it was easy, just only 2 chords, but I was strumming like an idiot with no sense of getting anywhere, I was a dum-ass. Probably, I’m not a natural guitarist and had to slog as my fingers were stiff like planks. Oh, I still remember having those cuts on my fingers, really hurts and I almost gave up. But I was too determined to rock like those great guitarists, and gradually I started learning the guitar on my own after my dad gave-up on me. Probably he realised that I was hopeless. After so many years of struggling and suffering, today I think I am an acceptable guitarist, neither a professional nor an expert, but I am good enough to play for a band. I used to jam and did some gigs in clubs. Anyway, I still envy those great guitarists like Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton, John Fogerty, Santana, Jimmy Page, Buddy Holly, Tony Sheridan, Hank Marvin…I better stop here because my list is endless. If you ask me what is my guitar niche and style? I would answer everything from “The Shadows” to the hard and lame rockers, to the deep and funky blues. Whenever I hear a great tab, I will eventually try to learn it regardless who plays those six strings. I better stop here, if I don’t, this will end-up being 20 pages long, but don’t worry, gradually I will tell you more about my guitar memories and how I ended up in gigs. I’ve included some video clips of the Great Guitarist here, so please enjoy it. Oh, how I wish to have their soul!! So ROCK away GREAT ones.

The King vs. The Killer: Who should have been KING?

Who is the real KING of ROCK n ROLL? Yeap, I am referring to the two legends, Elvis Presley the King and Jerry Lee Lewis the Killer. One is known to move like the devil and the other turned gospel into boogie-woogie and claimed to have sang for the devil. When I was young, through the influence of my parents, especially my mum, most of the time I was listening to Elvis, because my mum fancy him. When I got older, instead of Elvis, I started to fancy Jerry. I just love his musical style and expressions. Not for the scandal of him marrying his third wife, Myra Gale Brown, who also happened to be his thirteen-year-old second cousin, Jerry would have given Elvis a fight till “hell breaks loose” for the title “The King of Rock n Roll”. Someone quoted, "Elvis might have the title, but Jerry is King of Punk Rock. He is Punk Rock before Punk Rock". Well Jerry, I hope you are happy with the title “the killer” and I will always remember you as the raw and wild one. As for Elvis, the movies made you a product, but I still love you man. Hope you guys enjoy my video clip of both the legends.
